Meditation Teacher Biography:
Sayadaw U Zatila
U Zatila was born on August 29, 1965 to the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tun Nyaing in upper Burma. He was ordained as a novice monk at the age of nine ( 1974 ) in his native village, and as a full-fledged monk at twenty ( 1986 ) under the guidance of his preceptor, Venerable Sumangala ( ti-pitaka-dhara, a holder of the whole Pali text) in Yangon, Burma.)

He studied basic monastic education at his village monastery for seven years ( 1974-1983), and higher education at Maha Gandayon Buddhist Institue Yangon for five years (1983-1988), and at Aung-min-ga-lar Buddihist Institue Yangon for seven years (1988-1995)
